Vista is the leading local charity working with over 12,500 children and adults affected by sight loss across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. We have three key aims:

1) Promote eye health to prevent sight loss;

2) Reduce the impact of sight loss, and;

3) Provide care and support for people with sight loss.

We are passionate about providing the very best services; in hospitals, at home, in residential care, and in the community. We attribute our longevity to the quality of the services we provide and our ability to adapt to the changing needs of the people who rely on us. Whether someone is newly diagnosed or has lived their whole life with reduced sight, Vista’s specialist staff provide a vital lifeline to many local people.

Our wide range of community services include: children’s eye health initiatives in early years settings and primary schools, a mobile outreach service, information and advice in local hospitals, a dedicated helpline, children and family support service, rehabilitation, digital and social inclusion projects. Vista also operates four specialist not-for-profit residential care homes in the local area; two for older people with sight loss and dementia, and two for adults with learning disabilities and sight loss.
